Through my affiliation with Fora, I have access to a broad global network of hotels and preferred partner programs, which may offer benefits such as preferred pricing, complimentary breakfast, property credits, upgrades and other amenities when available.

I can help compare destinations, shape the route and pacing, and coordinate transportation, tours, guides and other experiences into a cohesive itinerary that feels right for you.

Pricing
How I'm compensated depends on the type of trip we're planning.
Hotel Bookings
For most straightforward hotel bookings, there is no planning fee. When I book a commission-paying hotel on your behalf, the hotel compensates me after your stay.
You may also benefit from preferred rates and amenities — such as complimentary breakfast, property credits or upgrades — when available, at no additional cost to you.
Custom Itinerary Planning
Custom itinerary planning is priced according to the length and complexity of your trip. Planning fees start at $50 per travel night.
A note on some accommodations: Some trips may include accommodations that do not pay travel advisor commission, such as certain national park stays, farm stays, vacation rentals or smaller independent properties. If these make up a meaningful portion of your itinerary, a planning or booking fee may apply. This allows me to recommend and book what is right for your trip, regardless of how the property compensates.

Yes. As part of custom itinerary planning, I can help research and coordinate the different pieces of your trip, including transportation, tours, guides and experiences.
Flight support can be incorporated where appropriate, although most flights are best booked direct by the customer, as airlines won’t allow me to speak on your behalf to troubleshoot should issues arise - they will only speak to the ticketed passenger. Delays do happen and managing your flight directly is often the quickest way to resolve issues.

Not necessarily. For most commission-paying hotels, there is no additional planning fee. I can compare available rates and booking options, and through Fora’s preferred partnerships, some bookings may include preferred rates or added benefits such as breakfast, property credits and upgrades.
For custom itinerary planning, or trips with significant non-commissionable components, a planning fee may apply toto account for the additional research, planning and coordination involved.
Any fee will be clearly outlined before planning begins. -
Travel plans evolve. If your dates, priorities or other details change during the planning process, we'll work through the adjustments together.
I generally recommend bookings with flexible cancellation policies and encourage clients to opt for travel insurance.
If a change substantially alters the agreed scope of planning, I'll discuss any implications with you before doing additional work.

Not at all. Some clients come to me with dates, destinations and even specific hotels in mind. Others have a general idea of the experience they're looking for and need help figuring out where to go.

No. South Africa is where my experience runs deepest, but I help clients plan travel around the world.
Through my affiliation with Fora, I have access to a global network of hotels and travel partners, and I benefit from the knowledge of destination specialists and local experts who can share additional insight when needed.

Earlier is generally better, particularly for trips involving safari, peak travel periods , trending destinations, or most-loved hotels.
That said, there's no hard rule. If you're planning something on a shorter timeline, send an inquiry and I'll let you know what's realistically possible.
